NC(-A) is an artist-run initiative curated by Nadia Cao-Alahanthan.
It brings together artists from different practices, some early stage, and others more established, to present their ideas,
improvisations and experiments in response to a space.
Everyday spaces become a testing ground to encourage Ad-hoc and adaptive ways of working.
This is to share knowledge about how to do and what to look out for,
allowing artists to grow their language and voice.

RORY GIEZEKAMP

Rory Giezekamp (he/him) is a transgender multidisciplinary artist that creates music, performances, wearable art and sculptures.

My work is concerned with the many forces that dictate the movement and treatment of physical bodies. He materialises the haunting perseverance of our human spirits through erotic and overwhelming maximalism

SAFRAN YOSHINAGA

My name is Safran Yoshinaga.
I’m interested in exploring the mistakes and improvisation
that takes place between conception and completion—progress and process.

Through my work as a cook and a craftsperson,
I aim to celebrate and embrace these concepts,
looking beyond the finished product to the interaction
that occurs between the maker and the object.

NADIA CAO

Nadia is interested in the role objects play in representing the how and why of people, their communities, stories,
and the ways in which they can bring strangers together.

She enjoys the process of sharing through storytelling
and the dialogues that unfold.

In her practice, objects serve as lenses into the in-between spaces that are hard to reach.

Her work articulates these themes by collecting new contexts, relationships, and spaces.
